We are looking for full time Flat Roofing Service Technician available for year round work.
- Knowledge of 4-ply, 2-ply, modified bitumen, peel and stick, single ply roofing systems
- Ability to find and complete repairs on commercial and residential roofs.
- Installation of flat roofing systems
- Communicating with customers
- Working in a team setting
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in Flat Roofing
- Knowledge of shingle roofing, metal roofing, or aluminum work is a plus.
- Company vehicle / 407 Transponder provided.
- Experience with Modified Bitumen (cold and hot applications), Built Up Roofing
- Follow our health and safety program and practice a safe working environment.
- Valid drivers license / Training Certificates required(Training will be provided where necessary)
Job description
Junior Service Technician
The role will be paired with a senior more knowledgeable person to learn from. Will assist a senior service technician on roofing, siding, commercial roofing, aluminum (soffit/fascia/eavestrough), and custom metal work.

Dominion Roofing, Canada’s roofing authority since 1922, is seeking a motivated, experienced, conscientious and driven individual with a passion for sales and great customer service to join our team. This is a full-time, client facing position that encompasses a mix of both field and office responsibilities.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Expanding the company’s flat roofing sector by sourcing new customers and getting on their radar
- Working with both the New Construction and Renovation divisions of the company
- Estimating/quoting residential & commercial flat roofs
- Providing pricing for labour/materials
- Conducting core samples/cut tests where required
- Review and participate in as many viable open bids/tenders as possible (Biddingo, Bids & Tenders, etc.)
- Analyze & estimate plans/drawings provided by client to understand scope of work
- Collaborating with other sales reps and senior staff on larger projects
- Working closely with the Flat Roof Supervisor in developing a client base and pipeline in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors
- Doing take-offs/measurements using various software (i.e. Planswift, Eagleview, etc.)
- Prepare quotes/estimates/proposals using the company’s internal estimating software
- Set appointments/attend site meetings as required
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience selling flat roofs
- Strong knowledge of 2-ply & 4-ply mod bit systems
- Proficient in MS Office suite, Email, Internet
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Achieve deadlines under pressure
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organizational skills, both analytical and problem solving
- Ability to work with confidential documents
- Punctual, efficient and customer centric

Dominion Roofing, Canada’s roofing authority since 1922, is seeking a motivated, experienced, conscientious and detail oriented individual who enjoys making a difference to join our team. This is a full-time position comprised mostly of field operations, with some time spent in the company’s head office in Toronto.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working with the Production Manager to schedule projects for installers
- Review scope of work, timelines and expectations with installers
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure proper procedures are being followed by installers in regards to safety, material handling and application
- Inspect sites during installation to make certain proper protection is in place and the installers are following all company safety procedures
- Conduct final inspections upon completion of all projects
- Document any safety issues and/or deficiencies and immediately bring them to the attention of the Production Manager
- Verify that correct materials are being used and proper installation techniques are in play as per company standards
- Account for inventory on each project; take note of all shortages/overages and report them to the Production office
- Make certain all jobs are completed in a safe, efficient and timely manner
- Working with installers; building rapport, training them and ensuring top quality workmanship
- Conduct monthly safety inspections on installers and job sites
- Deliver/pick-up materials from job sites as required
- Other projects as assigned
