Location: Mississauga
Service: Completed Service Repairs
Challenge
A homeowner in Mississauga required several localized roof repairs to improve sealing, drainage, and overall performance. The original areas of concern included vents, skylights, the chimney, a missing section of gutter guard, and a small section of shingles on the shed roof. Because the skylight required fresh sealing, this work also involved a focused skylight repair to reinforce protection around that opening.
Solution
Dominion Roofing carried out a series of targeted repairs based on the homeowner’s needs:
Vent & Skylight Caulking
The team applied fresh caulking to all roof vents and skylights, sealing both the glass and the frame. This helped reinforce weather protection around these common leak points.
Chimney Caulking
Where necessary, the chimney was caulked to improve the seal around its base and reduce the risk of moisture intrusion.
Gutter Guard Installation
A small missing section of gutter guard in the upper eavestrough was installed. This addition helps prevent debris buildup and improves water flow through the gutter system.
Shingle Replacement on Shed Roof
Two rows of shingles were removed from the shed roof and replaced with new shingles. This restored the integrity of that section and improved its resistance to weather exposure.
Result
The completed roof repairs provided the homeowner with improved sealing at vents, skylights, and the chimney, better debris control through the added gutter guard, and upgraded protection on the shed roof through shingle replacement.
This project highlights Dominion Roofing’s ability to perform focused, detail-oriented repairs that address multiple small issues in a single service visit, helping to prolong the lifespan of the roof and prevent future problems.
